Italian and German artisans designed the interior of the Basilica of the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. Dedicated in 1965, it was designated a Minor Basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1991.

The remains of Mother Seton are entombed under the Altar of Relics in the Basilica. Pilgrims come here throughout the year to learn about her life, discover the depths of her faithfulness, and walk meditatively in her footsteps. More...
