Care for Creation Retreat

Join us for a retreat focues on Care for Our Common Home, inspired by Laudato Si’ on Saturday, October 12, 9am – 3pm. The day begins with Mass celebrated by Fr. Anthony Dill, and will include a light breakfast and lunch, tours of our museum and historic homes, and talks by Dr. Taylor Nutter and Sr. Mary Jo Stein, DOC.

Tickets are $25 per person. Seeds of Hope members and those for whom the cost may be prohibitive should contact Sarah Heil at 301-447-7083.

Very Reverend Anthony R. Dill is the Pastor of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He serves as Canonical Consultant and Promotor of Justice in the Tribunal and Vice Chancellor for the Diocese of Harrisburg.

Sr. Mary Jo Stein, a Daughter of Charity for over 35 years, has been blessed to serve in various forms of ministry, including teacher of biology and French, hospital nurse, family practice nurse practitioner in the community health realm, formation director for new members in the Daughters of Charity, and a loving companion to all our relations on the journey of integral ecology as a promoter for the Laudato Si Action Platform. She is passionate about the inseparable link between healthy Earth and healthy humanity. She is grateful for opportunities to apply her experiences in international, intercultural settings and her background in biology and healthcare to join with others in the ever-widening circle of care for all of creation who calls this planet our home.

Taylor Nutter, Ph. D. is a professor at Mount St. Mary’s University. He joined the university in the fall of 2023 as a Core Fellow.
