Hands-On History!

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, 11am & 2pm

Discover life during Mother Seton times through activities, crafts, or games. Fun for all ages; Free Program. Select dates to see what aspect of Mother Seton’s life you can immerse yourself in during our Living History Program (2nd and 4th Saturdays).

Aug. 13th: Soak, Suds and Sun

Come try your hand at 19th century laundry, a weekly chore for all households. There’s much more to it than just sorting the whites from the darks! Learn how the Sisters of St. Joseph’s had to travel to the nearby icy Tom’s Creek in the cold of winter, and try your hand at it as well!

Aug. 27th: Mother Seton’s Birthday Celebration: Basket Weaving

Come to historic St. Joseph’s Academy to Celebrate Mother Seton’s birthday along with the Sisters of Charity and students. Learn the art of basketweaving Saturday @ 11am, 1pm and 3pm and Sunday @ 12:30pm and 3pm.
