Saints On Their Way

September 13

Mother Seton is the first native-born American saint —and since 1975,  more have journeyed on that very same path to sainthood!

Eleven Americans have been canonized and there are 116 more American Saints on their Way. Our list highlights 31 Americans who are Blessed, Venerable or a Servant of God. This small selection reminds us that saints come from all walks of life. We’re all called to holiness, and anyone can be a saint. That’s why we look with hope to the future to see who the next American saint will be.

On September 13, the Seton Shrine invites you to celebrate that hope in person at the Saints on Their Way Festival — a joyful day of faith, community, and inspiration on the very grounds where America’s first saint walked.

The day begins with Mass at 11:00 AM, a beautiful way to open a celebration of holiness.

At 12:00 PM, the festival comes alive with live music with John Paul von Arx, inspirational speakers, including the keynote by Msgr. Robert Sarno “Theology of Canonization,” Guild tables to explore, food trucks, Confession and Adoration, and free tours of the Shrine. Whether you’re coming with family, friends, or on your own, there’s something here to nourish your spirit and spark your imagination about what it means to live a holy life.
