The First Sisters: A Special Living History Event

July 31 @ 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us Friday, July 31st at 4pm est on facebook for our latest live-streamed Special Living History Event: The First Sisters.
Mother Seton arrived in Emmitsburg in 1809 with just seven women at her side, one of whom was Sister Sally Thompson. Together, these women settled into the primitive Stone Farmhouse that would become the founding place of the Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph’s, the first community of women religious established in the United States.
During this half hour special event, Sister Sally and a few of our Junior History Interpreters will reminiscence about those first days and humble beginnings of what would become one of the most important religious movements in America.
A Q+A will follow, so please bring your questions!
You can tune in on facebook or watch it live here!
