Seton at the Sea

$75.00

The Patroness of Sea Services, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (S.E.A.S) prayed tirelessly for her children, three of whom sailed across the sea.  Mother Seton’s son William served in the United States Navy from 1818 to 1834. Her son Richard served, as a civilian, as a captain’s clerk on the U.S.S. Cyane.  As a mother, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton worried about her children and prayed for them.  Today, Mother Seton remains a powerful intercessor and saintly friend for us all.

This beautiful and inspiring statue is a Seton Shrine exclusive!  Sculpted by renowned artist Timothy Schmalz, this unique statue allows the viewer to reflect on St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, her life, and her legacy as the first American-born canonized saint.  For over 25 years, Timothy has been creating large scale sculptures. Many of his pieces are installed worldwide with some of his most renowned works displayed in historical churches in Rome and at the Vatican. Timothy describes his most important work as visual translations of the Bible.  He uses his God given talents and inspirations as a fine artist to glorify and communicate Christ’s teachings through the universal language of sculpture.  Timothy personally sculpts every original small masterpiece complete with his signature or monogram.
