(serie 50 por 50) During the COVID‑19 pandemic, Navy Chaplain Lt. Brad Guillory was repeatedly denied access to administer last rites to a dying sailor due to hospital restrictions. Frustrated but undeterred, he prayed to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pledging to place his naval ministry under her patronage. On his third attempt, a sudden call from the ward doctor invited him in. He administered the sacraments, preparing the sailor for death, while the family watched via video. In gratitude, Fr. Guillory dedicated his ship’s Catholic community to Mother Seton and brought a first-class relic of her aboard ship. Known as the “Patroness of the Sea Services,” Mother Seton now ministers to sailors with prayers, relics, Masses, and miracles.
