All roads will lead to the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton this summer as two walking pilgrimages converge in Emmitsburg as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Mother Seton’s canonization.

“The Seton Shrine is first and foremost a place of prayer and pilgrimage, providing a uniquely Catholic experience as it is the only place in the United States where you can visit the home of a saint,” said executive director Rob Judge. “As the late Pope Francis once said, ‘Making a pilgrimage to shrines is one of the most eloquent expressions of the faith of God’s people.’ We see every day how our sacred and historical spaces at the shrine enable pilgrims to encounter our Lord, grow in their faith, and receive answers to their prayers.”
