Nestled among Maryland’s mountains is St. Joseph’s School, forerunner of St. Joseph’s Academy, Mother Seton’s historic 19th century school. You’ll meet the Seton Shrine’s Historical Interpreters portraying Sisters of Charity and Students who were a part of Elizabeth Ann Seton’s world. Go back in time and become a part of the story by joining them for a day of learning, fun and games of the past.
What To Expect:
- Cost: $8 adults, $5 age 7-18, age 6 and under free
- Most visitors will spend about two hours at the Shrine.
- You will encounter historical interpreters, many of whom portray actual students from Mother Seton’s time! Watch the school come to life as they share stories and performances. Be ready to join them for lessons, games of typical school day.
