The year is 1818. You’re 15 years old and away at boarding school over Christmas for the first time. But this isn’t just any school – it’s Mother Seton’s school. This Christmas is bound to be unforgettable!
Mother Seton is very familiar with the longing of home and comfort especially when it comes to the holidays. This evening she is happy to share her home with you. In the spirit of Advent, discover and take part in the evening activities the students are wrapped up in, from preparing to their Nativity Play, to a recital, and more! Come find joy and comfort within the Academy which adds a measure of brightness to the long and dark wintertime.
Revisit the past in a whole new way during this incredible living history experience.
Interact with the Seton Shrine’s celebrated Junior History Interpreters, girls ages 8-18 who each portray a real student who attended Mother Seton’s school. Stroll down lantern-lined walkways in a self-guided tour and see the historic homes of Mother Seton, each tastefully decorated for the Christmas season.
