…And as you encounter the Dead, you’ll be forever changed!

On this unique and popular Cemetery Walk, as a guide leads you through the dark by candlelight, saints and other characters come to life and reflect upon the “Last Things”: death, judgement, heaven, and hell. Through these encounters you’ll discover what it means to truly be alive, both now and in the life to come.

This faith-filled walk is ideal for youth groups and families with older children (14+).

What to expect on the outdoor Cemetery Walk:

This walking experience lasts for 1 hour and takes place primarily in the dark.
All paths are wheelchair / stroller accessible. No seating is available throughout the experience.
In the event of inclement weather, all tickets will be refunded or rescheduled to another night, pending availability.

Sunday, November 1 – All Saints’ Day – features an indoor, sit-down performance at 6pm

Audition

Audition Dates:

Monday, August 24: 6:30-8:30pm | Seton Shrine Visitor Center
Tuesday, August 25: 6:30-8:30pm | Seton Shrine Visitor Center
Wednesday, September 2: 5:00-7:00pm | Mount St. Mary’s University McGowen Hall

Actors are welcome to bring prepared monologue or read material provided at the audition. Actors should be available for the majority of performance dates.

Volunteer

Come to the event for free as a volunteer! Two hours of orientation + various time commitments depending on availability & role. Volunteers must be 14+ years old.

Volunteer help needed:

Guides (lead group tour through the cemetery walk)
Fire Pit Lead (Maintain fire pit throughout the night; visitor hospitality; and communicate group tour timeline)
Fire Pit support (Assist with Fire Pit set up/clean up, visitor hospitality)
Dinner set up and clean up

Celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints with this specially adapted indoor performance of Back From the Dead.

This hour-long performance will happen only once that day beginning at 6pm.

WHO YOU MAY SEE...

Fr. Lt. Vincent R Capodanno, MM, CHC, USN: A Navy Chaplain and Medal of Honor recipient who served U.S. Marines and gave his life for others when he was killed in action during the Vietnam conflict. “Do not be afraid this day, for God is with us.”

The venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen: A beloved Archbishop who connected with roughly 30 million American citizens per week in their own living rooms through radio and TV broadcasts of his program “Life’s Worth Living.”

Fr. Walter Ciszek was a Pennsylvania native who went as a missionary to the Soviet Union in 1939 and was subsequently arrested and imprisoned for more than 20 years under suspicion of being a Vatican spy before he was released and returned to the USA. He found ultimate peace by accepting all circumstances as coming from the hand of God.

Blessed Stanley Rother – Born in Oklahoma, Fr. Rother received his training at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. He was ordained a priest and was sent to serve as a missionary in Guatemala. When civil war and political unrest broke out, he briefly returned to the USA, but ultimately felt called by God to go back to Guatemala to Shepard his vulnerable flock stating “the shepherd cannot run.” He was martyred for his faith in July of 1981.

Brother Joseph Dutton: Was a layman born in Stowe, VT who became an American Civil War Union Army lieutenant. He converted to Catholicism and offered a life of penitential labor for the sins of his past as a missionary serving a colony of lepers in Hawaii with Saint Damien of Molokai. 

Venerable Alphonse Gallegos- nick named, “Bishop of the Barrio” Fr. Al was born in New Mexico. He returned to his hometown for the majority of his ordained ministry, working tirelessly for peace between warring gangs and social improvements to serve the needs of the impoverished and disadvantaged in his parish neighborhood and school.
