The Seton Shrine is hiring! Work at the site of the first American-born Saint's historic home, and share her remarkable story with thousands of visitors. We are looking for hard-working professionals with warm, dynamic personalities to serve our visitors in the roles below.
Costumed Living History Interpreter
We are seeking friendly, engaging, creative people to join our team of First-Person Costumed History Interpreters, ready for immediate hire. Interpreters will interact directly with visitors, taking on the persona of someone from the past and using his or her historic costume as part of the basis for his or her interpretation. Training will be provided. The hours are 6 to 7.25 per day and the number of days will fluctuate depending on visitorship; weekend and evening availability is required. To learn more, email Beth Gilbert at email@example.com.
As Needed Tour Guide/Sales Associate
The As-Needed Tour Guide/Sales Associate fills two roles, usually working an irregular schedule based on expected volume of visitors and other factors. Guided Tours are the cornerstone of the Shrine’s daily program offerings. The Tour Guide provides these tours, interpreting the historic homes, grounds, and other elements of the Shrine according to a provided script. The Seton Shrine Gift Shop helps visitors maintain a connection with the Shrine by providing Shrine-related products for purchase. The Sales Associate helps these visitors find and purchase products and prepares items for sale or shipping. Weekend and evening availability is required. To learn more, email Beth Gilbert at firstname.lastname@example.org.
