Fancywork - Seton Shrine

a previous exhibit at
the seton shrine

Needlework was an essential skill for young women in the early 1800s. Some students at St. Joseph’s School developed their skills, creating beautiful samplers and fancy works of art. Come see some of the most complex and skillfully executed embroideries and samplers from the largest surviving group of needlework associated with a Maryland school.
