Executive Director, Rob Judge, spoke on the Son Rise Morning Show about the Eucharistic Pilgrimage coming to the Seton Shrine on June 6th.
Judge also shared about Mother Seton’s devotion to the Eucharist, saying (paraphrased), “The Eucharist is a part of her legacy and it’s not emphasized enough. She’s known for founding schools and hospitals, but she was absolutely a very Eucharistic saint. She first encountered the Eucharist in Italy when her husband died, and of course Catholicism in the 1800s was flourishing in Italy. She was exposed to the sacrament there, and she remarked in her journal back to her sister-in-law, ‘How happy would we be if we believed what these dear souls believe, that they possess God in the sacrament.'”
