Explore the Seton Shrine, without ever leaving your home!

Engaging and fun for all ages – it’s the next-best thing to visiting in person! See below for information about our upcoming virtual tour, as well as options available for groups. 

These interactive tours will keep your students, small group, family, or simply yourself engaged the entire time. “Walk and talk” with a personal tour guide on these 30-45 minute tours. For more info or questions, call 301-447-6606 or email erica.delp@setonshrine.org

Feast Day of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton

Celebrate Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Feast Day by registering for a virtual tour on January 3rd! In this tour with a live question and answer session, you will see the White House, where Mother Seton lived with her fellow Sisters of Charity began a school for girls.  Find out why her life and legacy continue to refresh and inspire people for over 200 years.

You will…

  • Learn about Mother Seton’s impact and legacy when it comes to Catholic education in the United States
  • See the room where Mother Seton entered eternal life
  • Get up close to artifacts and relics and hear the stories behind them
  • And much more!

Advance registration is required to attend the virtual tour, and registration will close two hours prior to the tour time.

World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life

Join us February 3rd for our upcoming virtual tour, Where It All Started: Sisters in the Stone Farm House. To celebrate the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, we are taking you into the home of Mother Seton where she established the first order of sisters in America.

You will learn:

  • The harsh conditions in which these women lived for several months upon arriving in Emmitsburg
  • The Sisters of St. Joseph’s founding, their relationship with the Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, and their contributions to the Church
  • And much more!

Virtual Museum Tour

Join us live!

Enter the Shrine’s brand-new museum during the virtual tour of the museum! These state-of-the-art exhibits, which opened only a few months ago, include never-before-seen artifacts of Elizabeth Ann Seton’s that showcase her life not only as a wife, widow, mother, foundress but as a Seeker, Servant, and a Saint!
